History
Lemberg Wine Estate, 4 kms west of Tulbagh, is a working boutique winery, where almost everything is still done by hand with highest emphasis on quality. The farm was established in 1978 and bought in 1994 by Klaus and Uschi Schindler, from Germany.
The emphasis here lies on organically grown vines, careful and strict selection of grapes (which are handpicked at night) and gentle and natural treatment in the wine cellar. Lemberg achieves high quality wines, full-bodied, fruity and low in sulphur.

Lemberg Estate Sauvignon Blanc (The Laughing Duck)
This is a dry but rich and very fruity pleasant white wine, more a European style sauvignon blanc.

Lemberg Estate Harslevelu (Lipovina)
A tempting rarity in South Africa, made from the well known Hungarian grape, where it is blended with other grape varieties to produce Tokaij wine. Our Harslevelu is dry with a beautiful clean crisp and spicy flavour of its own special character. Ideal for curries, Thai food and all spicy dishes.

Lemberg Estate Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot (Sensual Red)
An extremely fruity full-bodied red wine, smooth and well balanced with tastes of cherries, berries and chocolate. This wine is oak barrel fermented and treated in a very special natural and gentle manner.
